Please note that Field Recruit is a limited company, and is part of Infinite Group.
The Tactical Department is a department of Infinite Group who book temporary staff to carry out activities for Infinite Group clients.
Through registering with Field Recruit you are agreeing to your details being held on the Tactical Staff database. Members of the “tactical department” will use this database to book staff on behalf of Infinite Group and its clients.
In these Terms & Conditions of Employment the following definitions apply:
| "Activity" | is the generic term for a period during which the Temporary Worker is supplied to render services to the Client on behalf of Infinite Group; |
| "Client" | means the person, firm or corporate body together with any subsidiary or associated company as defined by the Companies Act 1985 to whom the Temporary Worker is supplied; |
| "Temporary Worker" | means the individual who is introduced by Infinite Group to render services to the Client. |
| "Fee" | means any monies / salary paid to the Temporary Worker for undertaking an Activity. All fees include 8.33% in lieu of annual leave. |
| "Activity / Demo Equipment" | means any equipment or stock leant to the Temporary Worker for the purposes of assisting in undertaking an Activity. |
1. General
1.1 You are registered as a Temporary Worker with Infinite Group. You are engaged under a contract of service, but are not an employee of Infinite Group.
1.2 Whilst Infinite Group will endeavour to provide Temporary Workers with Activities, there is no guarantee of work due to the nature of our business. As such infinite Group rescinds the obligation to provide employment on a permanent basis.
1.3 At all times you are giving an undertaking that you are eligible to work in the UK. You are required to provide documentation to confirm your eligibility to work in the UK, including any requested updates once registered with Infinite Group.
1.3.1 Failure to supply information confirming your eligibility to work in the UK will invalidate any agreed Activity, and Infinite Group will consider offers of work or Fees null & void, even if the activity had already been carried out.
1.4 You are required to carry out any work assigned to you. The work is not to be passed onto anyone else without infinite Group's consent.
1.5 Due to the nature of the business an Activity may be cancelled at short notice. In such circumstances Infinite Group will endeavour to advise the Temporary Worker as soon as possible regarding the cancellation, and with as little inconvenience as possible.
1.6 If the Client reasonably considers that the services' of the Temporary Worker are unsatisfactory, the Client may terminate the Activity either by instructing the Temporary Worker to leave the Activity immediately, or by directing infinite Group to remove the Temporary Worker.
1.7 Failure at any time, and for any reason, to complete an Activity, or any misrepresentation of skills and/or qualifications may result in the non-payment or reduction of fee. This may also result in Infinite Group taking the decision not to use you for Activities in the future.
1.8 Should you arrive late for an Activity, Infinite Group reserve the right to reduce your fee accordingly.
1.9 Should you fail to meet the requirements outlined in the sections below, or commit an act of Gross Misconduct, Infinite Group reserves the right to withhold payment and take the decision not to use you for future Activities.
2. Activities
2.1 You will arrive for your Activity 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the Activity. You must sign in and complete any local documentation as required by the site or retail outlet you are visiting.
2.2 You will wear appropriate business wear or uniform as directed. Your hair, clothes and makeup* will be neat and tidy at all times (*if applicable). Any tattoos must be covered during an Activity. Any piercings, other than ear studs, must be removed during an Activity. Jewellery should be kept to a minimum during an Activity.
2.3 You will adhere to the Smoke-free laws which come into effect on 1st July 2007. You will not smoke in any enclosed public places or work places; or on public transport or within work vehicles.
2.4 You will ensure that your personal mobile is switched to silent / off whilst on an Activity; except during breaks or if you are a Team Leader or Event Manager for the Activity. You will not make or receive calls or texts during an activity.
2.5 You must work under the instruction of an Event Manager if there is one on Activity.
2.6 You will adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the site at which an Activity takes place, in particular any policies relating to the Health & Safety at Work Act, and/or site fire precautions. Please refer to the company Health & Safety Guidelines, and ensure that you adhere to these guidelines at all times.
3. Cancellation / Sickness
3.1 If you accept an Activity, but then need to withdraw you must give Infinite Group at least 48 hours notice. Failure to do so may results in Infinite Group taking the decision not to use you for Activities in the future.
3.2 If you are unable to attend work through sickness or injury you must inform your contact within the Tactical Department at Infinite Group, giving as much notice as possible. If necessary, you will leave a message and it will be dealt with on receipt.
3.3 You are not eligible for any statutory payments regards sickness due to the nature of the role.
4. Activity / Demonstration Equipment
4.1 To assist you through an activity(s) Infinite Group / the Client will loan you equipment / stock to carry out the activity. You are required to take receipt of any Activity related / Demonstration equipment.
4.2 You are liable for any loss or damage to activity / demonstration stock until such time as Infinite Group takes the activity / demonstration stock back.
4.3 You shall ensure the activity / demonstration stock is kept in a complete and satisfactory working condition and not dismantled, replaced or altered in any way; or allow any person other than infinite Group to service or repair the activity / demonstration stock.
4.4 You shall ensure the activity / demonstration stock is not left unattended or in store overnight. When not in use, the activity / demonstration stock should be stored at home (out of sight from any window).
4.5 Any activity / loan demonstration stock will remain the property of infinite Group /the Client, and may be recalled at any time.
4.6 Upon completion of an activity, or leaving employment of infinite Group, all activity / demonstration stock must be returned to infinite Group in original packaging and in fully working order by the stipulated deadline. Also refer to section 6.6.
4.7 Infinite Group reserve the right to withhold payment should you fail to return any activity / demonstration stock by the stipulated deadline.
4.8 Infinite Group reserves the right to make deductions from your salary for the loss, or damage of activity / demonstration stock.
4.9 Should infinite Group arrange for a courier to collect your activity / demonstration stock, you shall ensure that you are available to deal with the collection. Should you fail to meet a pre-arranged courier, infinite Group reserve the right to charge you for any costs incurred in re-sending the courier.
4.10 Should you be requested by infinite Group to dispose of any unused activity material upon completion of the activity, you agree to dispose of this in an environmentally friendly manner, as per the guidelines of the activity brief.
5. Training Sessions
5.1 Infinite Group may request that you attend training sessions prior to the start of an activity in order to ensure that you are fully conversant regards a product or activity. You agree to attend such sessions.
5.2 All guidelines outlined in section 2 and 3 apply to training sessions as well as activities.
5.3 Should you attend a training session, but fail to complete the activity as agreed, you will not be paid for the training session.
6. Monies / Salary
6.1 Fees will be paid in the next available payroll, subject to all clauses under section 6 and authorisation by the Tactical Department at Infinite Group. Salaries will be paid monthly, via BACS transfer, on the last working day of the month. Tax, national insurance and other deductions/ contributions will be deducted as required by law.
6.1.1 Infinite Group pay to cut-offs. The cut-off deadline is the 1st of every month. Any wage claims submitted by the 1st on the month will then be paid on the last working day of the same month. Should the 1st of the month deadline be missed, fees will not be paid until the following month.
Please refer to table on Page 6 for examples of cut-off dates and potential fees.
6.1.2 You are required to submit a wage claim upon completion of an activity by the deadline outlined in your activity brief. Should you be undertaking a long-term activity which takes place across two or more cut-offs, we request that you split your wage claims and submit them for the work completed up until 1st of each month.
6.1.3 You are required to submit a wage claim form within 2 cut-offs of the end of an activity, unless there is a valid reason which has been agreed in advance with infinite Group.

6.1.4 Infinite Group reserves the right to deduct an admin fee for the late submissions of wage claim forms. Infinite Group will also not pay any wage claims which are submitted after 6 cut-offs.
Breakdown of the admin fees are as follows:

6.1.5 Infinite Group will not accept responsibility for any delays in the receipt of wage claim forms due to the postal service.
6.2 Fees will be paid, subject to the receipt of a correctly completed wage claim. Failure to complete a wage claim form will result in non-payment of fee. Please also refer to sections 6.1.1 to 6.1.5.
6.3 Payment of fees is also subject to the provision of activity paperwork / data by the stipulated deadline. Failure to provide activity paperwork / data by the agreed deadline will result in the non-payment of fees.
6.4 As per section 4.7 and 4.8 above, infinite Group reserves the right to withhold payment / deduct monies from the fee for lost, stolen, damaged, or unreturned (by deadline) activity equipment.
6.5 As per section 5.3, should you attend a training sessions but fail to complete an agreed activity, you will not be paid for your attendance at the training session.
6.6 Infinite Group will refund, subject to approval, reasonable business expenses (e.g. travel, parking, mileage) incurred whilst undertaking an activity on behalf of the company. Reimbursements’ will only be made with prior agreement with the Tactical Department, and provided you produce appropriate VAT receipts, including petrol receipts to back up a mileage claim. Failure to provide the relevant receipts will result in non payment of expenses.
7. Confidentiality
7.1 infinite Group will hold your details on file, and maintain a record of your work for business purposes. Infinite Group will keep your details confidential; details will only be used for the purpose of filling Activities by Infinite Group.
7.2 You agree that Infinite Group can release anonymous details to our Clients for the purpose of approval and filling activities. Details released will consist of photographs, location, and work history only, and will not include any contact or personal details.
7.3 Should infinite Group need to release your personal / contact details to a Client for activity purposes, we will seek permission from you before the information is released.
7.4 You shall not use or disclose any of Infinite’s trade secrets, confidential information or any other information. Disclosure of Infinite Group’s business or confidential information may result in Infinite Group taking the decision not to use you for future Activities.
